CLUB COLLEGE WEDNESDAYS @ CASTROS
Wednesday is fast becoming THE night to go out in Wollongong, and Castros is the place to be! Doors are open from 9pm – 3am, with downstairs playing a mix of RnB, commercial hits and taking requests, and upstairs pumping out the latest in house, electro, techno, and anything disco! If this gets a little too much and you need a break, take a relaxing seat in one of the many lounges in the front section before you’re ready to re-join the party. With FREE ENTRY for Uni Students ALL NIGHT, and FREE ENTRY for non-students BEFORE MIDNIGHT, when you combine the awesome drink specials it becomes obvious why Wednesdays are so massive! Come and check out Wollongong's freshest Thursday night at he Grand Hotel. Drink Specials begin @ 8.00pm to get you ready for the tunes in the club and the beats in the beer garden. Pumping out the latest House, Electro, RnB, Dance, Retro & all things disco in the Club, and funky beats spun in the beer garden by Wollongong's finest Dj's. Feeling peckish? No worries, the food is complimentary and will be served throughout the night. Feeling tired? No worries, vodka + energy drink on special till 1.00am! Doors open from 8.00pm 'til 3.00 am.

Combining the good taste in music that saw Onefiveone rise to fame, and discounting the drinks as much as economically possible, Wollongong Nightlife is proud to bring you a tasteful night on a budget – Thursdays @ Onefiveone. Think of starting the night with a relaxed underground house vibe in the main room, progressively getting heavier as the night moves forward… with all the feel good sexy back music on the top level, there is something for everyone… and I haven’t even mentioned the drink specials yet! Toy Symphony @ THE IMB THEATRE
A modern classic from Australia’s master playwright, Michael Gow. Queensland Theatre Company’s Artistic Director and award-winning author of the perennial favourite Away, makes a long-awaited return to writing with Toy Symphony. Michael Gow gives us a rare insight into the heart and mind of the artist and the inescapable power of memory. Gifted playwright Roland Henning is trying to convince his sceptical therapist Nina that he doesn’t have writer’s block, it’s just that, well, he can’t write anymore… With Nina’s help, Roland reluctantly recalls his primary school days in the outer Sydney suburb of Como and that extraordinary day which shattered his boyhood and plunged him headlong into the dizzy circus of art and life. But as personal tragedy suddenly threatens to permanently derail Roland, will he grasp a chance for salvation or slip back into old habits? Gow’s long-awaited new play, and the toast of Sydney’s theatre scene in 2007, is a compelling journey of personal self-discovery and regeneration. Tickets cost $54 for Adults.
