Named after the famous literary, wine and gastronomic society formed in France in 1792 Le Caveau, Caveau is Wollongong’s newest fine dining experience, and only hatted restaurant.

Born in Oxford, Chef Peter Sheppard opened Caveau in May 2004 after training at Banc Restaurant in Sydney.

Caveau’s menu changes regularly to reflect seasonal changes and uses only the freshest and best quality ingredients available.

Featuring such delights as mouth-watering seared scallops, winter truffle and pea risotto, and sweet creme brulee served on a base of white chocolate and pear sorbet, Caveau delivers a fine dining experience that is not to be missed.

With professional and subtle service, dining at Caveau is an experience to savour and share with friends who have a passion for food.

Soft lighting, mushroom and cream walls and polished floorboards compliment the elegant and relaxed atmosphere at Caveau.

Caveau is available for group bookings and functions. Caveau's Private Dining Room is available for groups of 8-12 and allows you the freedom to talk privately, laugh loudly, and enjoy special occasions with family and friends or important corporate functions.

Caveau is fully licensed but Wednesday night is BYO (wine only).
