We all scream for ice-cream!!

With over a million people in 400 cities around the world taking part, Australia will kick start the global event with a local flavour – delivering feel good frozen treats to thousands of Aussies across the country today.


This year Uber has teamed up with OzHarvest and some of Australia’s top celebrity chefs, George Calombaris, Matt Moran and Neil Perry, who have each designed an exclusive ice-cream flavour inspired by rescued ingredients, to draw attention to food wastage across the country.


With a goal to fund 100,000 meals for vulnerable Aussies, the tubs of ice-cream are priced at $15 for a 500mL.


HOW DOES IT WORK?


1. If you haven’t used Uber before, download the Uber app and create an account.


2. Open the Uber app on Friday, 15 July, between 11am – 5pm (today!).


3. Set your location and request the “Ice Cream” option.


4. If successful, $15 will be charged to your Uber account and ½ a litre of delicious ice-cream will be delivered to you within minutes.
